Philadelphia, PA – Keystone Shops today announced that it will be opening its third location near the sports complex in Philadelphia. The company received approval from state regulators on February 28 to develop the site. Philadelphia has very few dispensaries slated for opening due to the stringent requirements in the law and the restrictions on developing such a business throughout Philadelphia.

“We are excited to bring medical marijuana to the therapeutic landscape for Pennsylvania patients suffering from the covered serious medical conditions,” said M. Louis van de Beek, M.D., Keystone Shop’s Chief Medical Officer. “South Philadelphia has many patients who can be served by a dispensary with a convenient location like Packer Avenue.”

The 300 Packer Avenue location is a former bank and will be located near the planned Live! Casino and Hotel. It is located just off I-95 and is close to the Schuylkill Expressway, providing convenient access to patients.

Working closely with state regulators, Keystone Shops identified the Philadelphia location.   The new location will replace its original third location in Delaware County in Upper Darby. “The Packer Avenue site is hundreds of feet away from the two most heavily traveled roadways in the Commonwealth, and will make medical marijuana easily available to millions of Pennsylvanians,” said Michael Badey, CEO of Keystone Shops. “We’ll begin construction immediately and will work to get medicine to patients as quickly as possible.”

Keystone Shops has a location in Devon at 420 W. Lancaster Avenue, Devon PA 19333 and in King of Prussia at 367 S. Henderson Rd, King of Prussia, PA 19406. More information about Keystone Shops can be found on the web at
