Dani, King of Prussia Floor Manager

Meet Dani! She’s one of Keystone Shop’s wonderful floor managers at King of Prussia and is a patient in the PA MMJ program! She’s a loving mom to her two daughters, Hailey and Audrey, and loves a good murder mystery or crossword puzzle. Read on to discover how medical marijuana has helped Dani!

Tell us a little bit about yourself!

My name is Dani! I am 38 years old, and married with two tiny humans, Hailey Jane (5) and Audrey Ella (3). I truly enjoy a good murder mystery or a crossword puzzle. I’ve been called an old soul at times. I am  definitely a homebody who enjoys kickin’ it with my family.

What made you want to try medical marijuana?

I was at my wits end with my anxiety and depression. I was becoming increasingly more paranoid and was unable to complete daily tasks, and I had basically become too anxious to leave the house without my husband’s company.

What do you take medical marijuana for?

I medicate typically to control my anxiety, depression, and associated pain that may come with those.

What products/strains/terpenes/cannabinoids/consumption methods have you found to be the most helpful for you when treating your condition?

My all time favorite strain is Prime Krypto’s Kush #15 dry flower. The terpene profile of Myrcene, Caryophyllene, & Limonene is perfect to sedate my anxiety and increase my energy to be productive and focused.  I typically use my Arizer vaporizer. Another go to strain is the GTI Star Tribe CO2 cartridge. The terpene profile is similar to the Krypto’s Kush and it is quite fantastic for my lower back pain. I use an Elf honey stick 510 thread adapter battery.

What would you tell patients who may have conditions or backgrounds similar to yours that are interested in trying medical marijuana for the first time?

I would suggest they do their own research first. Read about others’ success stories and even their struggles. Try to arm themselves with as much knowledge as possible. My anxiety can be triggered when I don’t feel prepared which can make me feel like I don’t belong. By seeking relevant articles to my condition I found it to be less overwhelming than going in cold and being inundated with information that may not even pertain to me.

As a mom, how do you talk about your medicine with your kids?

I tell my girls that I take medicine to make my mind and body feel better so that I can do all the things that I do; so that I can chase them around the yard,  bake cupcakes, or tickle their stinky toes!

Do you ever feel like there’s a stigma that comes with being a mom that uses medical marijuana? What would you want other moms to know about using medical marijuana?

Sometimes I feel a little put off when people ask me if I have kids as if that’s a bad thing, but what they maybe don’t consider are the alternative medications for pain and depression.  Xanax or Ativan make me unable to function as a person let alone as a parent.

For something more lighthearted! If you could vape with any 3 people, who would you want to vape with?

Keanu Reeves, David Bowie, & Audrey Hepburn!

What’s your favorite place that you’ve gotten to visit?

Costa Rica is peaceful for the soul <3
