How to become a patient in the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program
- Sign up online
- Click here to register for the program through the Medical Marijuana Registry at www.padohmmp.custhelp.com/app/login
- Registry information includes your name, address, and contact information
- You must have a PA driver’s license or ID card to register
- Visit your doctor
- Once you have completed the online registration, have a physician certify that you suffer from one of the 23 medical conditions that qualify for medical marijuana
- Your physician must be registered with the PA Department of Health; a complete list of registered physicians may be found at medicalmarijuana.pa.gov
- Pay for your card
- Return to the Medical Marijuana Registry and complete your application
- Submit a $50 fee for the card; patients enrolled in Medicaid, PAC, CHIP, SNAP, and WIC may be eligible for a discount
- You will receive your card via mail
- Visit a dispensary
- Once you receive your card in the mail, you may visit Keystone Shops or any other approved dispensary in the state of PA
- Bring your state-issued ID
- First-time patients and caregivers are welcome to a free consultation with a medical professional at the dispensary

How to Renew a Medical Marijuana Card
- Login to Your Medical Marijuana Profile
- Log onto https://padohmmp.custhelp.com/app/login using your account information
- Review information under the ‘Profile Setting’ tab for accuracy and be sure to save any changes
- Select the blue “Renew My Patient Registration” button
- Obtain A New Doctor’s Certification
- Once your profile is updated, you will receive an email notification to see a physician for a new certification. This may be the same doctor who previously certified you, or another certified physician
- This physician must be registered with the PA Department of Health; a complete list of registered physicians may be found at medicalmarijuana.pa.gov
- Once the physician certifies you, your new card will come in the mail (however, you must still pay the annual fee for the card to activate; see steps below)
- Your new card will be issued for the day after your previous card expires
- Pay For Your Card
- Payments must be made annually to retain coverage
- 30 days before the annual renewal fee is due, you will receive an email with instructions to make a $50 payment to the state
- This payment may be lowered if you qualify for a lower fee
- Visit A Dispensary
- Once you receive your renewed card in the mail, you may continue to visit Keystone Shops or any other approved dispensary in the state of PA
