Keystone Shops is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Chief Medical Officer and friend, M. Louis van de Beek, M.D., M.B.A, informally known around the shops as “Doctor Lou.” Doctor Lou was a deeply compassionate, caring individual. From his over 100 monthly, pro-bono, mission trips to treat the poor in Mexico, to his work in the Philadelphia Department of Health, his 28+ years in private practice in Kensington/Port Richmond, and of course as the #1 advocatefor Keystone’s patients, Doctor Lou always put his patients above himself. No doctor took the Hippocratic oath as seriously as Dr. Lou. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Diane, son Peter, and daughter Rebecca.

Dr. Lou’s services are going to be held this Thursday, and both Keystone Shops’ locations will be CLOSED.

Please go to http://flyingsamaritansrosarito.org/donation/ to donate to the Flying Samaritans, the organization Doctor Louie cared for so deeply.
