The Women’s Center of Montgomery County

The Women’s Center of Montgomery County is a volunteer-powered organization with a focus on eradicating domestic violence and abuse. Since it was created in 1976, this foundation has provided a 24-hour domestic violence hotline, elder, individual, and group counseling, legal services, and much more support. With over seven offices across Montgomery County, the reach of the women’s shelter is vast and over a 12 month period from 2017 to 2018, they proudly helped over 5000 people by investing thousands of hours into individualized and support group counseling services. Outside of the center, they conduct training sessions to educate healthcare workers, hosting community education programs, and provide system training for law enforcement. The Women’s Center of Montgomery County provides services to thousands of men, women, and children every year. Their programs help improve the lives of women and children in our local community.
